Our Story
Formulated by hand, for one person at a time
Calypso Reyes started Calypso Organics the way most good skincare companies start: out of frustration. After years of watching friends and family members with eczema, sensitive skin, and thinning hair cycle through store-shelf product after store-shelf product — each one loaded with synthetic fillers chosen for shelf life rather than skin health — she began hand-mixing small batches in her own kitchen instead.
What began as soap for a few friends became a full studio practice built on one rule: nothing is made until someone needs it. There are no warehouses of pre-poured bars waiting for a buyer, no lotions sitting in a stockroom slowly losing potency. Every bar, jar, and bottle that leaves the studio is formulated, mixed, and cured after a real conversation with the person who will use it.
Today, Calypso Reyes works as Calypso Organics's founder & formulator, personally consulting on every custom order that comes through the studio — from a first-time eczema sufferer looking for relief to a bride assembling gift sets for her whole wedding party.
